The iPhone 7 has a new “Touch ID fingerprint” system that works with a passcode.
The new fingerprint sensor was designed to take advantage of Apple’s new camera sensor, which has a pixel-based depth-sensing element.
But the sensor itself can’t be read off a passphrase.
That means you can’t swipe down the lock screen to unlock the phone, and if you tap the lock icon, the phone won’t unlock automatically.
The only way to unlock is by holding the fingerprint sensor for a long enough time to make the passcode appear.
The fingerprint sensor has an infrared light sensor that can detect infrared light.
But that sensor doesn’t pick up fingerprints and can’t read fingerprints off the passphrase itself.
We’ll show you how to use it later.
